Collection

The College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) consists of professionals dedicated to supporting reading, learning assistance, developmental education, tutoring, and peer mentoring at the college and adult education levels. This collection includes board meeting minutes of the CRLA (formerly known as the Western College Reading and Learning Association) from 1974 to 2007.

Clyde Kimsey is a San Antonio photographer whose work was featured prominently in It’s Only Rock and Roll from the late 1970’s to the early 1980’s, chronicling the rise of punk and New Wave music in San Antonio and Austin. Kimsey’s photographic work depicts well known artists such as Sting, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Tom Petty, Judas Priest, and 73 other artists.

The Alfred H. Nolle papers document the education and professional activities of Alfred H. Nolle including his roles as German language and literature professor, Dean of Southwest Texas State Teachers College, and member of a number of professional and educational organizations.

The University Photographic and Negative Collection contains images of events, people, and student life at Texas State University. It was primarily created by the News Service and University Marketing to capture official university images. This collection spans the years 1970 to 2019, though not all materials in the physical collection are represented in this digital collection.
