From San Marcos Record: Inspects Building – these members of the Academy Board of Trustees took an inspection tour of the new high school building at the Baptist School last Friday when the board held its regular fall meeting. The building is virtually, completed with only the finishing touches to be made. Inspecting the chemistry lab in the background are left to right, Dean Jerry Moore, Raymond Cavness, and DR. Vernon Elmore, president of the board. In the foreground are Herbert Shubert, Julius Hill, J. L. Henderson and J.H. Bane. Other board activity included the naming of a committee to work on a long-range planning program for SMA, including the planning of another resident hall for boys.
