When he moved to the United States, he joined the Beethoven Maennerchor, in which he describes the society and the German music in Texas. He talks about the differences in singing in Texas versus in Germany. He talks about his accomplishments and interesting experiences he's had in the Maennerchor. He discusses how Texas has altered his singing and his interests in music. He describes his position as president of the Maennerchor and what his duties are. He shares about the Choir meinschaft of Texas and how they will be touring the world.
Side B: Claus talks about the similarities and differences in German singing societies across the United States. He briefly discusses newer music in singing societies. Claus describes some of the interesting people he has sung with and the positive impact that singing in the Beethoven Maennerchor has had on him.
