Ms. Cheatham discusses university figures such as Emmie Craddock, John Flowers, LBJ, and Dana Smith, the university's first enrolled African-American student.

She talks about settlers who settled in the area, and she also recounts significant stories from her youth about the German friends, neighbors, and ranchers who lived in the area with her.
