Gary Mauro talks primarily about current issues he encounters while serving as Texas Land Commissioner, including issues with landowners and ranches as well as pipeline disputes. He also talks briefly about his time in college at A&M University and his time working for Bob Bullock.

Henry Kyle talks about his experiences with politics while serving in the 43rd legislature in the 1930s. He discusses the political atmosphere of Hays County from the 1930s through the 1950s. Mr. Kyle also compares his own political beliefs with U.S. presidents and some of the faculty members he knew at the university, including Professor Green.

From 1999-2001, NASA partnered with History students at Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State) to conduct interviews with former employees who lived in the Central Texas area. Interviewees include managers, engineers, technicians, doctors, astronauts, and other employees of NASA and aerospace contractors who served in key roles during the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, and Shuttle programs.
